Under Graduate Scholarships 2024

Applications are invited from the students of Gilgit-Baltistan who intend to pursue undergraduate studies (4/5 years BS Programmes) from HEC-recognized public sector Universities/Degree Awarding Institutions. The Scholarships are being offered for the students of the academic year 2024-25 in all disciplines under the titled, “Undergraduate Scholarship Programmes for the Students of Gilgit-Baltistan in Top Pakistani Universities/ Institutions (Batch-IV)".

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for getting Under Graduate Scholarships 2024 for GB Students

a) Applicants must have a domicile/local certificate of Gilgit-Baltistan.

b) Applicants must have completed a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)/Equivalent.

c) Applicants who are already availing of any other scholarship are NOT eligible to apply for these Under Graduate Scholarships 2024.

d) The maximum age limit is 22 years as of the closing date of application submission.

e) The candidates will have to meet HEC and University criteria for admission to BS Programmes.

Under Graduate SCHOLARSHIP 2024 COVERAGE:

a) Tuition Fee, Hostel fee, and other charges - maximum RS. 240,000 per year.

b) A stipend of RS. 15,000 per month.

c) Books and traveling allowances of RS. 30,000 per annum.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

a) Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores in the Aptitude Test (to be conducted by the Education Testing Council (ETC), HEC) and academic credentials.

b) Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the ETC test. Test Result will be valid for one year after the announcement of the Test Result date.

c) Students already enrolled in any BS Programmes in public sector universities/institutions

Before the advertisement (maximum one academic year) may also apply.

d) The scholarship award will be purely merit-based and irrespective of gender, caste,

race, and religion.

e) The applicants can apply to any Public Sector University/Institution in Pakistan.

However, any expenditure over and above the cost given in Project PC-1 will be borne by

the student himself/herself.

f) The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without assigning any reason.

How to apply for Under Graduate Scholarships 2024 for the Students of Gilgit Baltistan?

a) Applicants are required to submit an online application through: https://eportal.hec.gov.pk

b) Only complete or saved applications will be considered. Students must click on

submit after completing the application form.

c) Applicants are advised to keep their login ID and Password safe for future use.

d) Applicants are required to deposit Rs. 500/- (Non-refundable) in any Habib Bank Limited

NOTE:

It is mandatory to bring the original applicant copy of the paid fee challan on test day, along with the Original CNIC/Original Passport. Otherwise, the candidate will not be allowed to sit in the test.
